La Grande Côte 2010: 91
49% mourvedre, 32% syrah and 19% grenache, made from free-run juice: Light, bright pink. Intensely perfumed aromas of blood orange, pink grapefruit, white pepper and pungent herbs. Nervy and precise on the palate, offering zesty redcurrant and citrus zest flavors underscored by a dusty mineral quality. Tangy and incisive on the finish, with the blood orange and herbal notes repeating. This wine could stand up to some of the best pink wines from southern France. |
