Wine and Food Pairing - Tonight's Very Simple Menu

What's for dinner? I have bread (maybe one day I'll share my bread recipe but not sure) and I don't want to be in the kitchen all afternoon so I have two options: Pasta or Bruschetta ... I am going with a simple and quick Bruschetta recipe:

Prep. Time: 10 minutes - Cook Time: 12 minutes

Ingredients:

  • Bread
  • Olive oil
  • Tomato sauce
  • Shredded cheese (Swiss, cheddar or mozzarella)

Slice the bread, smear the olive oil on the slices, spread the tomato sauce and add some shredded cheese on top. Cook for 12 minutes at 420F.

Now let's make sure you pair it with a Bandol style rosé (crisp, fresh and dry) or a Pinot Noir or a medium-bodied red wine like a GSM (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvѐdre).

You can make a green salad on the side and have for dessert a yogurt with cereals or just a yogurt mixed with local honey.
