With this 2019 vintage, it seems like we made the color even paler than last year but what a rosé we have here! Provençal-style, it is mainly Grenache with an equal part of Cinsault and Mourvèdre and a hint of Syrah. The Cinsault brings some subtle hints of spice to this complex and dry rosé involving dried herbs, tastes of grapefruit and tangerine. It was vinifier and aged in stainless tank for 4 months prior to bottling.

This beauty will age for 2 to 4 years with an optimum drinking around 1 to 2 years and ideal temperature to serve at 52F.  Magnums are available in limited quantity.

Hommage Blanc

Hommage Blanc

This 2019 vintage of Hommage Blanc, mainly Roussanne with 25% Viognier. About 20% of the fruits are from the Estate, this is the first “real” crop. The rest comes from James Berry, Glenrose and Adelaida. Personally, I love this wine because of its perfume and its mouthfeel. Aged in oak for 6 months, it is elegant with a nice texture.

A beautifull white wine that can be aged for 8 years with an optimum drinking window between 3 to 6 years and ideal temperature to serve at 52F.

En Coulisse

This fruit was picked at Bien Nacido Vineyards in Santa Maria Valley, where it is cooler and ripens late, in mid-October.  About 20% of this wine experienced malolactic fermentation due to the high acidity in this vintage. Only 4 barrels made with one being new oak, this wine is a beauty.  It’s a little fuller on the palate than the past vintage, it has great minerality with a super long finish, maybe the best we have done since the beginning!

It is looking beautiful. With its subtle and gourmet aromas, the 2017 Cuvée Juliette sparkling rosé, named after our third child, will be a perfect companion to your happiest moments with its sparkling radiant pink color, its amazing finesse and its great intensity.  Its special method of vinification – Crafted Méthode Champenoise, 80% Pinot Noir & 20% Chardonnay from Bien Nacido vineyard - is the traditional method used to produce sparkling wine in the Champagne region of France.  At 9g/L of residual sugar, Cuvée Juliette is a Brut sparkling rosé.

Fleur de Solène

Fleur de Solène

A superb balanced vintage. Delicate and fruit forward, a vintage ready to drink sooner. Separated by vineyards in different size vessels, we blended it after 14 months and bottled after 16. It has 30% new oak and offers some notes of black fruits.  It is well balanced with great refined tannins.  The optimum cellaring can be up to 9 to 10 years, it could be open a little sooner 2 to 3 years, due to the tanins well refined already.  The ideal temperature to serve ideal will be 58F to 60F. We can decant this wine about 4 to 5 hours before opening.

Magnificent on its own, we started to make this wine in 2014 fermented with Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache and mainly Syrah. We make it so it flutters in your mouth, the bouquet is amazingly complex, and the length infinite in which the minerality kicks back to leaving a taste for another helping. This 2018 vintage has aged 16 months in oak with 25% new.

Alert for the fans, when we started the blends decisions back in December 2019, we tried about 12 combinations, it was hard, but the result is outstanding, close to perfect. The 2018 vintage dominance is Grenache (70%) blended with a little more Syrah this year (16%) and the rest with the Mourvèdre just brought all the ingredients for perfection. Plus, in the mouth the spices, hints of herbs, the velvety feeling, the elegant complex and freshness, a common note in the wines for the 2018 vintage. It has aged mainly in neutral larger barrels for 16 months as well.

The optimum cellaring can be up to 10+ Years, this bright blend could be open in the next 2 years up to 10. The ideal temperature to serve with a 3 to 4 hours decanting will be around 60F.

Hommage à nos Pairs Reserve

In homage to those who have taught me, inspired me, and believed in me. Our reserve Syrah started 9 years ago. Grown mostly in the Willow creek district in Paso Robles, we cherry pick all the best barrels for this co-fermented blend coming from different vineyards we care throughout the season, we only made 10 barrels.  This 2017 vintage aged in 50% new oak in 320l barrels for 21 months.  Very elegant on the front palate, the wine is superb.  Balanced and delicate with beautiful tannins, that will age for two decades.

The optimum cellaring approach the 15 years on the 2017. Ideal to open after 3 years with a decanting of 6 hours minimum at ideal temperature of 58F.

Opportunities are not to be overlooked and Guillaume’s thought is that it is of no consequence which appellation the fruit is from, as long as it produces a wine with great complexity and personality. Challenging the traditional winemaking, Guillaume seized upon the occasion to make a unique wine using the famed blocs Z and X from Bien Nacido Vineyards. Cuvée Jean, named after his son, is one of his greatest accomplishments!

Inspired by the Spanish Priorat from Catalonia, Guillaume created, with James Berry Vineyard gobelet style Garnacha clone originally from Spain, a superb blend: El Toro. The elegant attack moves into a full-bodied mid-palate, then into an endless finish. A special blend waiting to become even more are-inspiring with time.

Completely barrel fermented and aged 100% in new oak for 21 months. I really feel we are between Saint Julien and Margaux, famous Bordeaux AVAs. The nose is super mineral, tobacco, cigar box, menthol; the texture is so elegant and long that make this wine approachable already but will age beautifully for two decades. It is where the elegance is met, just incredible!

Sweet Clementine, our dessert wine, named and made after our daughter, Clémentine. Whether you like sweet wine or not, give this wine the chance to enchant your palate. It shows more wine characteristics than regular dessert wines and finishes just like a dry wine due to the balance of the sweetness. Accompanied with cheese or dessert or by itself, it will be the perfect ending for your dinner. It has aged in neutral oak for 16 months.
